I’m a novice, trying to knit a boy’s vest from an Etsy “easy” pattern. I’m working on the Front and starting the vee neck. Could someone please help me figure out the following: “next right side row, work on 23 sts and leave remaining sts on holder. Work back. Next row, work to last 5 sts, k2tog, k3. Work back.” I knitted the 23 stitches and put those stitches on a holder. I knitted the rest of the row. Was that wrong?
Welcome to KH!
You should work with those 23sts and put any remaining sts that are left on the left hand needle on a holder. After you do that, turn as you would at the end of a row and work back on those same 23sts. On the following row you’ll start shaping the V-neck.
Thanks for answering my question. I’ll do as you say and hope I can get it right. I really appreciate you prompt reply. Kind regards.
