I am making my 2nd sweater. so I’m kinda new at this. I have gotten to neck shaping and I think there is a mistake in the pattern. Pattern reads: Work 15(19,24) stitches place center 19(22,25) stitches for neck on holder and working both sides at once, continue to bind of 2(4,6) stitches from each neck edge 3 times. at same time when arm hole measures 71/2(8,81/4) place remaining 12(7,17) stitches on new holder.(prep for 3 needle bind off) I am making a size large. 24,25,24=73 stitches. 25 are on holder for neck. 24 0n each side for shoulder. bind of 6 sittches each side 3 times 24-18=6 stiches each side. I’m I counting wrong or is pattern wrong and if it is how do I fix it hate to get this far and not be able to fix it. I.m knitting in the round from botton up. so I’m almost done?!! Hopefuly
Hmm, no, that doesn’t add up. It doesn’t work for the small size, either.
Where is the pattern from? Maybe you could check the publisher’s site for errata.
Another thing to check is what the numbers say for the back of the pattern? How many stitches are you supposed to end up with for the other side of the shoulders? Maybe we can work from that.
