Entrelac knitting

Could someone please suggest a good book for this? I really want to get into this but I’ll need some good guidance. :happydance:

I don’t know of a book, but here’s a few websites that give basic instructions and pictures.

Thank you very much, Jan! I’m off to read and see what I’ve been missing. :woohoo:

I have been trying and trying to figure entrelac out, but keep getting stuck. Thanks for all the links Jan.

You’re all welcome!

Something I’ve found is to just jump into it, rather than try to decipher the tutorials. The January MagKnits has a pattern for an entrelac baby blanket and once I’d completed the first 3 tiers, it was easy. I’m about halfway done now and it’s flying along. I rarely have to look at the pattern now.

Here’s another page http://wolfandturtle.net/Yarnpath/index.php/Yarnpath/comments/all_aboard_the_entrelac_express/

I know I’m a little late, but if you haven’t read it it is still news, to misquote the local news paper.

Thank you, Jenny. I don’t know if I’m as brave as you are about jumping right in. LOL!
I went to MagKnits but didn’t see that baby blanket.

Thank you, thank you, Suzeeq!!

Here’s the link to the Magknits pattern for anyone who missed it http://magknits.com/Jan08/patterns/bliss.htm

Thanks again, suzeeq. That’s a beautiful afghan! :inlove:

Here’s a small project to learn with - it’s a dishcloth. so if you mess up and need to start over, it’s not so big to be daunting. Or if you mess up and keep going, it’s just a dishcloth so who cares if it’s not perfect. Plus it’s garter stitch, so that’s one less thing to keep track of, no real stitch pattern to have to remember.

Can’t remember the author, but A to Z of Knitting has a pretty good entrelac tutorial.
