English style and knitting in the ends

I’ve just been watching the videos about knitting in the round. I notice that Amy is able to knit in the loose ends doing Continental style. Is the same thing possible with English style? And what about on straight needles? I really hate weaving in the ends…I tried it on a hat and I can really see where I wove them in even after blocking. This would be so much nicer if it will work. Or maybe I just need to switch to Continental?

Sure you can as long as your loose end is long enough.

I think what Amy is doing is just knitting in the end. So all you do is hold both yarns in your hand like normal and knit for several stitches.

As for switching… seriously do what works for you. There is no one way that is better. I’m an english knitter and it works for me.
