finished a purl row. P rows are WS rows. Does this mean that since the next row would be a knit row that the RS is facing or not?
I don’t have an answer, but this always confuses me too, so I’ll be glad to know for myself.
yes, that would be right side facing
Put a snippit of the directions up and that will help us help you!
I think I’m being dense here (it just won’t go in). So, if it says end with RS facing, does that mean that you finish a WS and the next one is RS, or you finish a RS and the next one will be a WS?
To end with RS facing, you’ll finish a WS row and be ready to start on the RS.
Thanks! I’ve written that down in my notebook, so it will always be at hand. That’s how I’ve always done it, but I was never really sure and doubted myself.
Another puzzle for me is the instruction ‘with yarn in front or back’. I wish it would just say with yarn toward you or away from you. I usually can figure it out but I have to pause each time to think about it.
I use my needles as a guide. Yarn in back is behind the needles, and yarn in front is in front of the needles.
