I’ve never knitted before and have a question. The pattern i’m looking at says to use Emu double knitting would Hayfield Gaucho double knitting or Sunbeam Cherie be okay as alternatives.

Double knitting yarn is usually the same thickness, so you should be all right. One thing to look for is what gauge the labels say the yarn knits up at. If it’s the same, then you’ll be ok.
