I have a Paton baby shawl that talks about casting on 17 stitches for edging and then knitting what looks like a pattern in these stitches but then leaps into talking about a border so confused

What is the name of the pattern? Can you give us a link to it please?
It seems to have a center panel with both a border and an additional edging perhaps similar to this. I know this isn’t your pattern but perhaps the idea is similar.
