I am working on a ribbed scarf in Rowan all seasons cotton, which is basic knit 3, purl 3 and on the following row it is reversed…purl3, knit 3. One side the edge looks great and it looks as if I know what I am doing. The other side is nasty…loopy and loose. What in the heck have I done? Thanks for the help. I learn soooo much rading these messages.
This is so common. Rather than repeat, here is a recent thread on the same problem.
Thanks, Ingrid. So, I can just slip the purl stitch off the needle…if I am reading you right.
Slip the first stich of each row, purlwise, whatever stitch it may be.
