Easy way to figure multiple

I am going to make a baby afghan that has yarn over’s and slip knit 2 and pass slip stitch over. I would like to make it a bit narrower if possible. Sometime’s I can figure out a multiple but this one stumps me. By the way this is a ripple afghan
Is there a failsafe way to do this. Thanks

You can always use lighter weight yarn or smaller needles to get a smaller project.

Please provide pattern row if you desire additional help with determining multiple/decrease.

Can you type out the pattern row, then we can help you figure out what the pattern repeat is.

Sorry that I did not respond sooner.
I actually do not have a pattern but a blanket someone started so this is what I have for the pattern rows
K 3 rows
Pattern row: K3(border) yo, k6,sl,psso,k6,yo,k2,yo,k6 etc
Next row purl
Next row pattern row.
Next 2 rows k and repeat
So is it a repeat of 12or 12 +1 or what? Usually I can figure it out with a lot of simple math but this excapes me.

I think we need to know what the rest of this pattern row looks like. So far, it’s increasing by a couple of sts and I bet the rest of the row must balance that out. It would make it easier to figure out if there is a repeat. Thanks!

Thanks, I will try to retrieve the blanket from the lower level and get the last part of the row. It may not be today though.

You left out at least 1 stitch in this part - yo, k6, sl, psso, k6, yo, k2, yo, k6… After the first k6 it probably actually reads “[B]sl1, K1[/B], psso”.

But a link to the pattern or how that row is written would be more helpful.

Ok everyone, I can’t believe all of your patience with my ordeal. All because I love this pattern.

I will try to type this out right. You have to understand that I am taking this from the actual blanket so here goes:

Knit 3 (border), YO, knit 6, , slip 1, knit 2 together, PSSO, knit 6
YO, Knit2, YO, Knit 6 slip 1,Knit 2 together, PSSO … and on it goes to the end ending with a knit 3 for border.

If there are any more problems with this you may feel free to delete this request from the board as I do not want to take up anymore of your time. Thanks! Mary

This is the repeat - YO, knit 6, slip 1, knit 2 tog, PSSO, knit 6 YO, Knit2 - and it’s 17 sts, the YOs don’t use a stitch.
