You know those projects that you knit at last minute “Her birthday is tomorrow, isn’t it…?”, when you’re in a rush, experimenting, or just want to use the rest of that old skein? This is a thread for posting links to those patterns, or just posting your home-made patterns or ideas yourself! I’ll start:

A strip with a quote on it (like someone’s full name, or inpirational words)

Cell phone/iPod case:
Cast number of stiches required for width
Knit in ss until strip can be bent in half, be the correct length plus a little left over for the flap
Sew on a button and you’re done =]

I use one of the Red Heart cell phone case patterns to make wrist warmers. It’s the cabled cell cover, and all I do is move the cable over a bit to make them symmetrical. Takes about 2 hours and less than a skein to knit a pair!
