Dyeing and felting Fishermen's Wool...possible?

Do you think it is possible (I asked this down on the Spinning forum but thought it might get more input up here) to Koolaid dye AND felt this, or would the lanolin in it prevent it from doing either felting or dyeing as well? It does say hand wash, dry flat.

It’s a pretty big skein, and I have a 40% off Joann’s coupon, so it would be reasonably inexpensive.

I also got a skein of Bernat Lana in neutral to possibly try dyeing and felting (and it DOES specifically say it felts), but the felted lambs are SO tempting also, but I couldn’t find anything in black for the faces.

OK, I guess I answered my own question, the reviews at Joann’s say both is possible!

Now I can’t wait to go get it (and some Koolaid too)!

Oh yeah, Fisherman’s wool dyes well and felts great! You should have great luck with that. Mostly, if it’s 100% wool and it’s NOT superwash wool (or machine washable), it should dye and felt with no problems.

I dyed mine with food coloring. It picked up the color beautifully. My camera is stinky, but here’s a pic anyway.
