Dye over?

Can you dye over a color yarn?
I have some yellow peace fleece [wool] that I want to change the color of, will it ruin it or will it be ok? Any specifics on what I can use to dye it?

you cetainly can over-dye - using any dye you normally would on wool.

Remember though that the result will be skewed towards the “yellow” - so reds will be orangey; blues will be greenish, purple will probably be muddy and tend to grey or brown.
