I decided to try one of the patterns for the Mini Sock KAL. I wanted to try this one with the Dutch Heel, but it’s not working right! :wall:
Divide stitches in half for heel and arrange on the needles so that 10 stitches for the heel occupy a single needle. work back and forth on those 10 stitches in stockinette for 8 rows. End with ws row.
Heel turn - it’s a dutch heel
Row 1 (right side) k6, k2tog, TURN
Row 2 P3, P2tog, TURN
Row 3 K3, K2tog, TURN
Continue to work three stitches and then decrease and work until all the the heel stitches have been incorporated. There should be four stitches left. Knit those four stitches. Arrange stitches so that the instep s titches are on a single needle and the remaining heel stitches are divided onto two needles. The round now begins and the ends win the center of the heel and the needles are 1, 2 (instep), and 3.
Where it’s red I’m having problems. I have 10 stitches on the needle and I did row 1 so now I have 9. I do row 2 and turn in the middle as instructed and that leaves 4 stitches on each needle. Row 3 is telling me to k3, k2tog which requires 5 stitches. Huh?? :?? What am I doing wrong?
