DUH! fOUND IT UNDER VIDEOS!How to "bind off" in pattern
Binding off is only passing the 1st stitch over the next instead of leaving it on the needle. Other than that, it’s just knitting a row, or purling it or doing it in ribbing. So if its 1x1 rib - k1, p1, pass the stitch over, k1, pass the stitch over, p1, pass the stitch over, etc. 2x2 rib - k2, pass stitch over, p1, pass stitch over, p1, pass stitch over, k1, pass st over, etc. and I’m glad you found it.
You’re binding off in pattern. I imagine you’ve just been knitting some rib rows… for binding off, just continue the rib, whether it was a K1, P1 rib or a K2, P2 rib.
Any stitch that should be knit in your rib pattern, knit before binding off, and any stitch that should be purl, purl before binding off. Just follow the stitches in the previous row to see whether to knit or purl next.
So for K1, P1 rib: it will be something like K1, P1, pass first stitch over the one just worked, K1, pass first stitch over, P1, pass first stitch over.
For K2, P2 rib: it will be K2, pass first stitch over the one just worked, P1, pass first stitch over, P1, pass first stitch over, K1, pass first stitch over, K1 pass first stitch over, etc.
Now I’ve probably made something that’s simple more complicated!.. oh, I just found a link…
