Drops Jacket sleeves

Hello
Would appreciate help with understanding the information given about the sleeves on attached pattern. As shown the shoulder opening is 32 cm for front panel which I take is 64 cm including the back. The pattern author advised after requesting more information that the pattern is for 2 sleeves knitted in the round. But the stitches mentioned are only coming up to about 36cm for the tube. I am trying to figure out how to fit this on a 64 cm shoulder opening.

Hello
Can you give us the drops pattern number or a link to the pattern please, it would really help.

The sleeves have increases that take the stitch count to 64sts which is about 64cm at the pattern gauge (10sts/10cm). Then there is some cap shaping before the bind off. That will contribute to fill the armhole space.
The sizes are similar but which size are you making?

I am making size small. I think it maybe because I used knit stitch for the sleeves for a different look which is making the size much smaller. Will start again using moss stitch and see how I go. Appreciate your help

Did you make sure to change needle size after the cuff? Up to the 7mm? Forgetting to change is too easy to do and would effect the size dramatically.

Check the gauge on the knit stitch sleeve and see if it differs from the moss. You may well have identified the problem.
Let us know how it’s going.

Have changed the gauge. As the needle size was correct. I also realized the pattern calls for double pointed needles and I am not using these. I made sleeve and it worked well at the shoulders but unravelled it as wanted the sleeves to have a more balloon look near the wrist. Lots of learning going on for me. Thanks for those who have contributed

You’re really altering the pattern to suit the design that you want, a good thing to do.
When you say the needle size was correct do you mean that it was giving you the correct gauge or that it was the needle size recommended in the pattern?
