Drops Design patterns

Yes, their patterns used to drive me crazy coz they don’t seem to be simple. I’m about to make this

and there was a bit of NOrwegian in it all of sudden. They had also emailed me aplogizing! for not attending to their forums enough. They have new moderators etc now they say. So when I posted about the Norwegian in the middle of the pattern, the answer was there the next day (could of been hours I didn’t watch closely) A very nice message from some (Norwegian?) guy!

Ha. I can’t figure if I really like this poncho enough though because it’s k2, p2 rib which is a pain in the rib.

Those booties are DARLING! Big Elf Booties.

:frowning: Yes they are DARLING.
Except mine are not BIG they are LITTLE.

So anyway ~
I have a booklet by Bernat that shows making a tube type purse by making a large rectangle and actually cutting out the end circles after felting. I was thinking what about the intrigity of the fabric? I don’t know that I’d do that for a purse, but now my little oopseydaisy elfin silly waste of beautiful norweigen yarn may just end up as a decoration on a far off in the distant project. Although my husband says that is a silly notion, and that I should take pictures and be proud of my little pointy goofy silly shoes!

:roflhard: :roflhard: :roflhard: :roflhard: :roflhard: :roflhard: :roflhard: :roflhard: :roflhard: :roflhard:

I’m so glad I’m not alone :?? Sorry about your Elf slippers :crying: Maybe we should do a knit along?

Ms Julie~
I am not one to continue time and again after a venture that I have already been sorely Whipped at.
no more elfin magic in this household.

But~
Those dern Norweigens have my attention yet again!
This, now this…may just be the ticket to my slipper woes… Take a gander at these cute sweeties. Think better ~ easier than the mighty Clog by Fiber Trend, who hoards their patterns (yeah ok, so I live in the hicks, and yeah I know they sell them online too but whaaaadeva!)
Anyway~

These one skein wonders are my next foot felting adventure~~~~~

Shall we dance?

I’ve done the fuzzy feet from knitty, twice, and can vouch that it’s a good pattern with no weirdness!! Go for it!

:rofling: :rofling:
How about these http://www.knittingatknoon.com/slipperpatt.html they’re free. Maybe if you knit 2 more elf slippers you could put them on a dog or cat if you have any animals.Just a thought.

JulieJulieJulie
Do these look like a creatures that would wear elfin slippers???

The Mighty Midnight ~ Huntress of all that she sees~

Or This???

~Princess Melissa~

and
Baron is already frothing at the idea!

~Baron Lord of the Realm~

I will check out your pattern though.
I have to say that I really do like the ‘cloggy~ness’ of the fuzzyfeet.

No but the dog looks like he just ate the Elf :roflhard: :roflhard: :roflhard:

Dog? What dog?
That’s Baron Lord of the Realm~

He is no mere ‘dog’.

 Sorry I have 2 of those also.He looks kind of mad at me  Tell him I’m sorry :notworthy: and I beg his forgiveness!!!

ALL HAIL TO BARON LORD OF THE REALM!

I love the cat photo ! How did you get such a blue sky background?

Baron Grants Forgiveness and says…

Don’t let it happen again.

(he really liked that HAILING part)

Midnight is not an easy subject to photograph. With black fur I cannot tell you how many times I’ve taken her photo and not been able to make out her features. My favorite way to catch her is ‘tree~ed’, exactly because usually I have the sky to work with. Some color. The natural lighting was good for her that day. She had a lot of red in her fur, summer time. The beautiful blue sky is exactly as it was. I use a Canon Rebel, at a fast shutter speed, and it does a great job of catching color. I rarely ‘fidget’ with my work, except to crop or add a touch of gama when I have an overexposure. I did not ‘get’ the blue sky background, it merely was.

ha, maybe I’ll have to send my little prince over to stir things up…

My goodness what a look in his eye that kitty has! Yikes!
