Dropping the end stitch?

I’ve been told several times to drop a stitch at the end of the row before going on. I’m not sure how to do this. Is there a video somewhere to see this done? Or can you explain?

Really? Drop an edge stitch on purpose? Maybe you’re thinking of slipping the first stitch. There are scads of edge stitch videos on youtube.

Yeah! That’s what it was. Slipping the first stitch. My mistake.
