I am working on a pocket book pattern that calls for using two strands or worsted yarn. Anyways I just noticed a good ways down I must have dropped one loop of a two stranded stitch and it is now just hanging there on the right side of the bag. Unfortunately, it is also in a twist so I can’t just undo that ladder row and fix it without making a mess…and I don’t want to rip back hours of work. I was thinking of pulling it to the back and somehow securing it with a needle and thread perhaps? Any ideas?
I think you could do that. With the two strands and just missing one of them for one stitch nothing is going to come undone or anything. You just want to make sure that little loop stays on the inside of the purse
Should I use thread or the yarn? Thinking thread so you don’t see it. It’s like 10 rows down in cabling and I don’t want to undo it

They say thread can cut the yarn sometimes, but I don’t know if it would in this use. Thread is an option I think, use several strands or sew more than just one stitch. But other options… (that may be better) since you are sewing with 2 strands, how about 1 strand for this fix, or even 3 plies of a 4 ply yarn might be good, if the yarn doesn’t tear easily. You could use embroidery floss or another yarn altogether if the yarn you are using wants to pull apart easily (in other words, isn’t strong) just make sure that what you use will be compatible when you wash your bag. If you will wash it by hand you have a lot of options but if you will throw it in the washer and dryer you need to think about it a little more carefully.
