Dropped last stitch off needle, now I have a big loop!

Hello everyone, I hope I’m posting this correctly!
I’m a very new knitter, and I seem to have dropped the last stitch off my needle.
I read advice that I should just try and place it onto the other, bare needle and re-knit it, but whenever I do that it just turns out big and loose!

I’ve attached two photos for reference; it’s only that one loop, but placing it on the bare needle and using the “full” needle to knit it as normal makes the second image happen (just a big, loose thing?)

Can anyone help me fix this? :frowning:

Welcome to KH and to knitting!
Knitting that loop is the right thing to do. The second photo looks fine. Assuming there is nothing twisting or knotting the loop, it should work its way into the sts near it. If not you can always use a thin needle or tapestry needle to coax the yarn into the next stitch or two.

I agree, knit on and enjoy. You are doing well.

Thank you so much! I kept with it even with the looseness and everything worked out :)!
