So I noticed a dropped stitch, and while trying to fix it, my cat jumped on me and I had a wrong hand movement which caused another stitch dropping a few rows down.
I have laddered up dropped stitch before, but I’m not sure what is the best way to do it here…especially as last photo shows, there is one strand of yarn (instead of two because i’m knitting with 2 strands held together throughout) there, i think it’s from me adding a new color, but i’m not quite sure how to fix it there now.
Thank you!!
Ladder up two stitches as usual with the two strands until you get to the single strand. It may be that the missing strand is the pale lavender one (see red dot).
You could ladder up all the way including the single strand. See how that looks.
If it’s obvious that a strand is missing, then drop down and pick up that lavender strand. The tail would then be coming out of the laddered stitch instead of two strands coming out together.
Hello,
Dropped stitches can be tricky, but don’t worry! Use a crochet hook or knitting needle to pick up the dropped stitches one at a time, working back to the correct row. Be patient as you secure them and ensure no further stitches unravel. Stay focused—even if your cat insists on helping again! Official Site
