If you are right-handed, hold the spindle in your right hand and roving in your left. If you are left-handed, hold the spindle in your left hand and the roving in your right. This makes a BIG difference.

Instead of thinking of your roving hand as the pulling (drafting hand), think of it as a clamp or vise. Pull with the hand holding the twist and you can have a more predictable, fast and controlled draft.
