I’m looking for a pattern for a dress for my daughter. she’s 14 and likes the “baby doll” style of dress with the short top, and flared skirt. last formal dance she went with a dress almost like the famous marilyin monroe dress where the wind is blowing the dress up. a bit more modest up top.
I’m clueless as to where i would find a simple pattern like this…
i pretty much just want to look at the pattern and possibly design my own dress from there.

Could download this pattern to get directions/guidance on how to knit the bottom portion of the dress if you could create the top portion.

Possibly do a spin on this top by changing the top portion as you desire and then lengthening the bottom?

this is almost perfect. i’d have to alter the top slightly but since she’s got a figure, it would be perfect- now to find the time!!!
i asked the designer for suggestions as to how to alter the dress a litle to suit DD’s taste. she was extremely helpful. I can’t wait for my yarn and needles to come in to get started…
