Dress pattern for 18 month old

I am looking for an easy pattern for a tank style dress in an 18-24 month size. Something that can be layered over a shirt. I have some Debbie Bliss books on order from the library. Any one suggest a tried and true pattern?

Look in the free patterns section on this forum for “Summer Swing Top”. KellyK and I have both made it, it’s darling. You can add another section into the swing part, or you could make the ribbing longer to turn it into a dress. There are pics of it in my blog. (And in Kelly’s, but mine will be easier to find :wink: )

Am I blind? I cannot find the Summer Swing top pattern in the free patterns section.

Saw the finished one though… and it is cute!

Right now I am leaning toward Erika Knight’s Denim Pinafore. Probably subbing KP Shine worsted or Mainline for the Rowan Denim. I ordered color cards today so hopefully one of those colors will be to my liking. Has anyone made the pinafore?

Here’s another one that looks cute. It has buttons down the front. It actually looks more like a jumper, but I still like it, and it says the pattern is easy.
