It depends on the look that you want. The drawstring is practically invisible with a fold over hem. The eyelets would allow the drawstring to show and be part of the design or color scheme.
Are you working from a pattern or designing your own?
How thick is your yarn? Really bulky yarn might be too thick to make a nice fold over hem. Otherwise, whichever way you prefer.

Thank you so very much. I decided to use eyelets. Iām actually modifying a hat pattern for the drawstring pouch.
