ARGH! Why does it have to be so difficult with double pointed needles? ARGH!
How do you join? Is that just completing the first round? Why is purling so difficult on dpn’s!?

DPNs can be all tricksy and want to flop around until you get a few rows on them. One thing that helps with just a few sts, may work with more of them, is to just put them on 2 needles and knit with a third until you have a few rows done.
Joining is just knitting the first round; it `joins’ the first and last cast on stitches together.
