Can I double up Aran weight wool to achieve a chunky knit result? Any advice?
Yes, just hold 2 strands together. You can do this from 2 different balls or you can use the center pull & outside strands. I like using separate balls because it seems to tangle less.
If gauge is important with what you’re making- you’ll want to pay close attention to that also & use the right size needles to get it.

It may be thicker than chunky even, so check your gauge.
Yeah, it depends on the yarn. Sometimes it won’t achieve the same chunky gauge, sometimes it’ll be over the gauge.
