Double yarn-over

How do you do a double yarn-over? I have never done this and can’t find any info on it.

If its from a knit to a knit, bring the yarn to the front as if to purl, then bring it back up over the right needle again to the front.

If its not from knit to knit, let me know so I don’t have to go through all the options. :wink:

I think it’s from a knit to knit (as far as I can tell–the pattern is not written, you have to follow a charted graft. This is for a knitted lace wedding garter–it uses OO knitting needles and cotton thread size 40. A friend asked me to make this for her daughter. I hope I can do this, it’s really going to be a challenge.
