Hi, Not sure if my original question was answered…what does “fasten off” mean? I’m knitting a hat on DPN and the pattern states to fasten off and attach the new color. How do I fasten off? Thanks, Linda:think:
Well, normally fasten off would mean to cut the yarn and start a new color. You can cut the yarn and knit 3 stitches or so with both yarns to secure it or you can weave in the end when you are done.
If you are only knitting a couple rows or less of the new color you can leave the original yarn and carry it up to the next point to use it.
