Does PU stitches twist the stitch?

I think I did the picking up of stitches correct. I watched Amy’s video but I noticed when I started to knit into them they looked twisted. The right leg was first as I once heard it described on one of the videos. Is that the way they should look or am I suppose to turn them?

As with a lot of things knitting, there’s no one “right way.” Some people like those stitches twisted to make them a little tighter, e.g., when picking up along loose selvedges. Do what you think looks best.

The front leg should be to the right of the back leg when it’s stretched out. If it’s not then it’s twisted and you can correct by just picking up and turning it or even easier is to knit into the back of the stitch.
