Does anyone else play WoW?

I’m a crazy person. People just can’t wrap their minds around the different hobbies I have. So, here goes. Is any other knitter out there a crazy WoW player?

I’m not a WoW player but i play a few other RPG and LARP games. I play Scion and Dark Herasy (although i prefere one-offs and short campaigns rather than the long long campaigns) and I am part of Treasure Trap (a local long running LARP game) and Maelstrom, a huge inernational LARP game.

WoW never apealed to me as much, but i know a fair few people who playand it sounds very fun and complex.

I’ve played on and off for the last 3 years… >_> I’ve got horde and alliance characters but I voted horde because the only reason I played alliance is because the people I knew who played all played alliance, but my loyalty’s always been with the horde. Right now I’ve let my account lapse because I haven’t had time to play WoW and do all the other stuff I want to do, but we always manage to get sucked back in.

I don’t play it, but I tolerate DH’s obsession with it.

Alas…no… :waah:

But I will freely admit I’m probably a bigger gamer than I am a knitter. I hope to one day join in the WoW community. But at this time my graphics card is messed up and I need to make a bit more money before I can afford to join. LOL

I have played several other online games though and get sucked in pretty easily. But I have to admit my favorite game of all time is actually an offline one. OBLIVION!!

Both Hubbie and I play. We’ve been playing since it was launched on and off. We’re off right now because I don’t have the money to spend on it, but I’m sure I’ll play again soon.

I know what you mean about having various sometimes uncomplimentary hobbies, I like loads that don’t seems they go together :stuck_out_tongue:

It’s so cool to meet knitters that play games too. Especially Wow. I’m Akatae on Andorhal if anyone ever wants to chat or quest. I have another but she is a lowbie and I like playing my 70. lol We could make this the official wow chat thread! I’m a troll mage and currently i’m stuck in the old pvp grind. I don’ t really LIKE pvp but it’s easy gear when I don’t raid. Often I Q up for the bg’s and knit while I wait. And then when I am defending something I usually die if I get attacked because I’m knitting :roflhard: It’s pretty pathetic.

Anyone else combine knitting and video games?

lol

I’m what you might call a WoW widdow.

I don’t play WoW BUT I do play Everquest2. I’ve been in eq2 since launch

Just thought I’d add that there is a WoW group on Ravelry.

I would love to play WoW. I need to upgrade my computer before doing that though. I do play City of Heroes.

I have never played. I hold a certain amount of animosity for games like that because a while ago, hubby was an ADDICT (and I mean that in the most literal sense) and it almost caused us to divorce. So yeah…lol…never played, never will…I do, however, have an obsession with playing word games and the Vista card games like spider solitaire and freecell…lol

Oh, thats too bad. One of my friends is a D&D/WoW widow so I know what you mean.

I loose my bf so often to various games … not WoW but some of the other RPG games. this weekend is my revenge! we were up to 3am last night playing D&D and we are going to carry on with the quest this afternoon :yay:

LOL, that is GREAT! I wish I could play D&D still. I used to, when my BF and I first met. Now it’s become a guys night thing. It’s the only thing he does “with the guys” and so I don’t mind, too much. We fought about it but I understand what he is saying. I go out to nice restaurants with the girls and spend too much money. At least his guys thing is free. lol. I’m working on getting him to DM for me, his sister, and her fiance. It’s slow but it might work out. I miss getting the riddles and thinking up intersting back stories that fit what I want to do with my character. lol

I thought city of heros was about the same specs as WoW? Maybe you would need more memory… at any rate, WoW keeps taking more and more room. Go figure. At this rate, when the next expansion comes out I’ll just have the company put it on the new computer I’ll have to buy. :roflhard:
