Do I need circular needles?

I’m making a pair of gloves and the pattern doesn’t call for circular knitting needles, but I don’t understand how the gloves could be formed.
I’m self taught, and still pretty new to knitting so I’m really just having loads of trouble.

What’s the pattern? Check to see at the end in the Finishing instructions if it says to seam it or not.

Or maybe it says “cast on xx sts and join” which would indicate it’s knit in the round. Also if it calls them rows or rounds that’s another indicator of how they’re worked.

You’d need double-pointed needles for gloves, since circular needles would be too long unless you use special techniques.

I can’t imagine that you’d seam gloves.
