Hi,i ama newbie to knitting and this is my question:After i cast my stitches onto my first dpn, which side do i slip the stitches off of,the “tail end” or the “working yarn” side, and why in all the instructions ive read do they eliminate this part? Thanks Shandeh for your video on how to join them once they are slipped! Also,i only know a cable cast on method,is this bad for dpn knitting?
Dividing stitches onto 3 dpn's
It really doesn’t matter which end, so long as the working yarn is at the end of one of the needles.
I suppose it doesn’t matter, but I always slip them off the end away from the working end. The cable cast on will work for you.
