Distribute raglan sleeves

Hello,

I have just cast on the “Trescao” jumper.

However, I don’t like this raglan increase as well as 2sts raglan line.
How should I divide the 2 stitches of the raglan line if I want to remove them? Should I add them to the sleeves or body piece instead?

Here is my plan.
I’d like to using “Kfb increase” (before and after stitch markers) and don’t want to have a raglan line at all.

Thank you for your help 🥹💕

You could divide the 2 sts between the yarn overs one to each side: one stitch to the body, one to the sleeve. Are you thinking of just one stitch marker then with increases on either side?

Depending on your size there are also M1 increases but the Kfb will work for either the yarn overs or the M1s. As long as there aren’t increases in consecutive rows in the same place, you can also use the improved Kfb if you want a subtler increase. There will still be a raglan line although not as pronounced as the line with flanking yarn overs.

Thank you so much for your quick response! Yes, that’s correct, what I’m thinking is one stitch marker then with increases on either side

Thank you again! I really appreciate it 🥹
I’ll give it a try right away!

Just a thought- I’ve seen patterns written like this and the finished projects seem to be very gappy around the raglan line. It’s apparently a consequence of the two decreases being worked back to back.
You might want to try it on a swatch first to see if your like the look?

This is an example.- Anna Ventzel spot sweater. I’m not sure if the stranding has a bigger negative impact but I resolved to add edge stitches to avoid this !!

Good point. Leaving a stitch or better two sts at the raglan is a smoother, more organic look.
