Directions on scarf pattern help

Hi

I am seeking to follow a pattern and it says:
K into front and back of next st (what does that mean to knit in to the front and back of the next stitch?)
Also, when it says to knit 2 tog - does that mean to go through 2 stiches on the loop and pull the yarn through both of them on a knit stitch?
Also, when it says to knit slipped sts (2), how do you do that? When you slipped the stitches on to the other kneedle?
