My pattern tells me: At the neck edge bo6sts2sts1st 2x].
I understand the abreviation and can bind off, but am unclear what the sequence means that I should perform 2x. Please explain…thanks
Anita
BO 6 sts, BO 2 sts, then BO (or dec) 1 st twice.
Thanks for responding., But I still don’t understand why i just don’t bind off 8 sts. if that is wanted. Is it possible that each of these bindoffs should be done on separate rows? Ie : row1 bo6 sts and k to end
row 2 bo2 sts and pearl to end
row 3 bo 1 st & k to end
repeat this sequence a second time?
I haven’t knit for about 20 yrs but thought I could manage a simple Crew neck Cardigan and purchased what I thought was a simple pattern (Ann Norling -Adult Basic Drop Shoulder Cardian Pattern#13)
This site has great help videos and I have been able to refresh my memory about most other steps
Yes, thought you understood that. They’re bound off on different rows to slope the edge, just like your example.
Thanks again…anita
