Thora Shrug from Martin Storey’s Nordic Knits:
I’d like a second opinion on the following directions:
Cont to dec at neck edge on the 14 foll 6th rows at the same time inc at armhole edge on 2 foll 4th rows then 15 foll alt rows, ending with a RS row. Now inc at armhole edge on next 12 rows.
When I outline these directions, I will stop increasing at the armhole edge on row 38, and then continue to decrease on the 6th row until row 84 (14x6=84). Is that when I inc on the next 12 rows?
I really appreciate any help. I have been knitting for many years and have never come across directions like this.
Welcome to the forum!
It is confusing but because of the order of the directions I would continue the increases at the armhole edge after row 36. Also, there are no directions to knit without increases until the neck edge decreases are finished.
So, after the inc at the armhole edge on the 15 foll alt rows, inc at the armhole edge on the next 12 rows.
Very nice shrug.

Thanks! I really appreciate the help. I’ve never knitted with Rowan Kidsilk Mohair before and I have difficulty seeing the stitches. It’s like knitting with thread. And then to spend a day trying to decipher the directions. I’m glad I reached out to this forum. You’ve definitely brightened my day!!
