Did ya' ever wonder......? What the heck is a 'lifeline'?

I’ve just realized that I can post video clips on my blog…

UH OH !
I’ll try to use my new powers only for good !

With that in mind, I’ve made my own feeble attempt to explain ‘lifelines’…

There’s a video here showing a lifeline and you can see how to do it and what it’s for.

Add a different color thread to your work several rows down with a tapestry needle. When you need to frog, frog to your hearts content without fear you will lose the stitches. Then put them back onto your need. See the one here at KH videos.

I’m about to add a lifeline to my baby sweater tonight. The pattern is a little to complicated for me to have to guess where to start if i have to start over.

A lifeline is to the knitter what the safety net is to the trapeze performer!

to read along. Thanks!!!

I don’t think dotty was asking how to do one or what they were for…she has an amazing video explaining it all on her blog. Thanks dotty!
