Diagonal Lace

I am going to start a Diagonal Lace pattern from “The Harmony Guide to Knitting Stitches” page 60. I want to clarify something … the directions say K2, *yf, sl1, k1, psso, k1, k2tog, yf, k3 … … is the yf just before the k3 the same as a yo? I am thinking it is - but don’t want to find out 10 rows later that it isn’t :knitting:

Thanks

Pam

Yes, that is usually the case. YO creates eyelets so your lace is nice and airy.

That said I’m not sure about the first part of the instructions aren’t clear to me. :??

Is this similar? How to Knit the Diagonal Openwork Lace Stitch

my understanding of the first part of the pattern is, knit 2, *yarn over, slip 1 stitch, knit 1, pass slip stitch over the knit stitch, knit 1, yarn over…
it seems relatively simple to me

I have the first part of the instructions down … it was just that one section that I did not understand

Thank you for all your help …

that is the video - thank you so much

You’re welcome! I like seeing how things are done. I wanted to see what it looks like too. :teehee:
