Yesterday I became devirginized. I dyed my first skein of yarn. I used KP superwash DK, and 4 packages of koolaid. I used 2 lemonade, 1 orange and 1 cherry. I still don’t think the yellow was dark enough.
The colors didn’t turn out uniform, I found it hard to get every inch of the yarn saturated and I was working under pressure as my kids were home from school and trying to “help”.
All in all I am pretty darn happy with how it turned out, so I’m calling the yarn “Happy Day”.
Congrats! I think those colors are beautiful and happy day is a very suiting name.
