Determining yardage

I have a huge cone of yarn I was given… it’s about 11 wraps per inch and 4 1/2 pounds approximately… however- can’t get to the wraps per inch to gauge (I think it’s between worsted and bulky) and gauge to yards per pound info right now from work- can anyone help me out?

Well, this will be a wild guess, but in my experience, a bad guess is better than no guess at all…

Knitpicks Worsted: 110 yards in 50g = 1.76 ounces
Knitpicks Heavy Worsted: 82 yards in 50g = 1.76 ounces
Knitpicks Bulky: 137 yards in 100g (or 68 yards in 50g)

4.5 lbs = 72 ounces

Taking the middle figure of 82 yards in 1.76 ounces, then
72 ounces / 1.76 ounces = 40.9 units
40.9 units * 82 yards = 3,353.8 yards

So, a wild guess of 3300 yards?

Even a guess helps-- I was thinking somewhere between 3000 and 4000 as a guess. Thanks
