Desparately in need of help!

Hello, I am new to this site and am enjoying it:heart: . But I desparately need some assistance with this sweater sleeve pattern. It is a Bernat easy sweater(KW-Just for Mom Cardigan) Pattern reads: Next row:k2, p2 work 2tog. Pattern to last 6 sts, work 2tog. p2, k2. (i am ok with this)
next 3 rows, knit all knit sts and purl all purl sts as they appear.
Rep last 4 rows 2 times. (48 sts)
Next row: k2, p2. work 2tog. pat to last 6 sts work 2tog. p2, k2. (here is where I need help) when i k2,p2 how do i work 2tog. its a k stitch and a p stitch. how do i work them together. i have tried k2tog, p2tog and my work looks tacky. i am sure its supposed to appear neat at least on one side. someone please oh please help:knitting:

I looked at the pattern online and in the abbreviations section it says that 2tog means you either knit 2tog or slip 1 knit 1 psso (pass slipped stitch over.) This is where you are decreasing for your raglan shaping. As you continue to knit you will see the diagonal shaping of the raglan sleeve becoming more apparent.

You might want to look at the videos on this site for tips on decreasing and also to see how different decreases look when you work them.

Hope this helps!
