Could someone please clear this up for me? I’m sorry, I’m such a newbie

“(knit 8, knit 2 together), around.
2. (and all even rows) knit.
3. (knit 7, knit 2 together), around.
5. (knit 6, knit 2 together), around.
7. (knit 5, knit 2 together), around.”

On round 1 you would knit 8, k2tog, k8, k2tog, k8, k2tog, etc. for the entire round.

Round 2: knit all stitches

Round 3: knit 7, k2tog, k7, k2tog, etc. for entire round

Round 4: knit all stitches

Round 5: knit 6, k2tog, k6, k2tog, etc. for entire round

Round 6: knit all stitches

Round 7: knit 5, k2tog, k5, k2tog, etc. for entire round

Hope this helps. xxx

Thank you! But how would you knit two together? Just put your needle through two stitches and knit as if they were one?

that’s exactly right… you will be decreasing a stitch that way
