Hi
I have just started knitting again after many years. My project is a chunky cardi, so I started on the back worked my way up I get to t decreasing bit and loose all the pattern. My pattern is k2,p1k3,p1 rep from * to last 2 then k.
2nd row p1,k1k2,p1 rep from * to last 3 then k2,p1.
When I have knitted 92 rows I decrease 1 stitch at every end but my pattern goes out of sync can anyone help…
k2,p1k3,p1 rep from * to last 2 then k.
2nd row p1,k1k2,p1 rep from * to last 3 then k2,p1.
I’m a bit confused by this pattern. Are there just those two rows repeated over and over? Row 1 is a multiple of 4 (what is between asterisks)+3+2 at each end so altogether a multiple of 4+5. Row 2 is a multiple of 3 (between the *s)+5. I cast on 13 to try it out and that works over row 1, but not row 2. Have you written it exactly as given? There may be some multiple of the two multiples that would work out for both rows but I don’t know what it is. How many stitches do you have? Is there source for this pattern that we might be able to turn to to look at the whole thing?
I think there may be a typo in how she wrote row 2 and it should be k3 p1 also
