Decreasing - help please!

This is probably a really simple question but I haven’t been knitting long so please don’t laugh :slight_smile:
My pattern says s1, k2tog. All the sites I’v been looking at so far talk about s1 in combination with another stich but never with K2tog.

Now my question is: shoudl I use s1 on its own? And how is it done?
If not, then I guess it should be used with k2tog (as in my pattern) bbut I am not sure how to do this either. (I know k2tog though).

Any help will be much appreciated.

Actually, I just solved my problem. It was S1, k2tog, psso.

Ahh, and that will make a double decrease.
