Decreasing hat with circular needles

Hi I changed the pattern of the hat I am making. It is knit 3 purl 3, I am at the point to start decreasing and I don’t know how since the original pattern was K2P2 and I thought if I followed those directions the hat would come out wonky. Can anyone help me?

We need to know how many stitches you have on the needle. Is the whole hat done in k3p3?

Hi there 108 stitches and yes whole hat K3P3.

I found an old thread that I think can help. Decreasing ribbing of any type is a pain, but see if this works for you.
