Help I’m confused . Dec 1 stitch at each end of 3rd row and 3 foll 4th rows, then on foll 5 alt rows
I started with 113 and suppose to end up with 95
But I end up with 93. I keep going over and over but come up short. I’m and advanced knitter but this has me stump

Hi Mariejp and welcome to the group.
It sounds like you are decreasing on one row too many. Assume you just finished row 10. Then you’ll work a dec at each end of the following rows:
Third row:
R13 - 111 sts left
Three following 4th rows:
R17 - 109 sts left
R21 - 107 sts left
R25 - 105 sts left
Then on next 5 alt rows:
Row 27 - 103 sts left
Row 29 - 101 sts left
Row 31 - 99 sts left
Row 33 - 97 sts left
Row 35 - 95 sts left
2 + 6 + 10 = 18 sts total
Maybe try writing the row numbers on a piece of paper and highlight the dec rows. Then as you work each row, cross it off on the paper. That way you can make sure you aren’t losing track of the tows.
