Decrease lace (with selvage stitch included)

Hi, ladies!

I am knitting a lace dress that asks for waist decreases. There are no bind offs mentioned, just decreases at both edges of the right side. I use a selvage stitch at both edges. I should keep that stitches the whole way, right? :aww:
I would eliminate and reestablish them if I was asked to bind off, like in armhole or neck shaping, I guess.

For the waist decreases, put your decreases after the first selvedge st, work across the row and then decrease before the last selvedge st. It’s likely a more gradual decrease for shaping than a bind off would be.
