Decrease inside stitch

Hi,I have a question, in a pattern I followed the pattern step by step until this,” decrease 1 stitch inside 1 edge stitch in each side”

I don’t know what it mean?
Does it mean that in Right row decrease the stitch next to the edge stitch and at the end of the row decrease the stitch befor the next stitch?

You work the two edge stitches as normal, and decrease just after and before each one. So, knit 1st stitch, knit 2 together, then work to last 3, knit 2 together, knit the last stitch.
