decrease 1 st each end of needle on next and following 11 rows alternative rows

Did a sweater before while so how do I decrease 1 st each end of the needle on next and following 11 rows alternate rows
Does this mean that I decrease at both end of same row and then knit stocking stitch for 11 rows and decrease again etc I am in Facebook also please send me messages there too Maureen Conlin
Thank you

Hi Maureen, you will decrease 1 st. at each end of the next row,
then work the following row without decreasing,
decrease 1 st at each end of the next following row,
work the next following row again without decreasing … continue on like this.

Your pattern tells you how many times to do this, 11 more in your case, which will equal 12 total lots of decreases for this section that you are working or 24 sts, decreased.
