I’m working on a jumper from the Debbie bliss cotton denim collection. It’s called the boat neck aran. I’m stuck at the sleeve increases.
q.1. On page 3 where it says 3-st bobble rib, does it mean all k3 stitches have to be bobbles or just the middle stitch?
q.2. I’ve managed to do the 1st 2 increases but after those i’m lost. Can’t figure how to work the 3 increases next to the bobble rib or the ones that are in the dmst (double moss stitches)
For the 3-st bobble rib, only the center stitch is a bobble.
Sometimes, in order to work increases into a pattern, you have to break with the pattern for a row or so until you have enough sts for a pattern repeat or a partial pattern repeat. For the bobble rib, you could make the increases until you have enough for the 3-st bobble rib. That way you won’t have a bobble at the end of a row, interfering with seaming. On the moss stitch increases, keep the moss stitch pattern going at either end of the sleeve and incorporate the increase stitch into the pattern on the next row. If the second stitch in the row is a purl, knit the increase. If the second stitch is a knit, purl the increase. It helps to look at the stitches on the needle and count off the stitches backwards to figure out what that first stitch should be.
Could you edit the pattern pages please to remove page 2? We don’t really need it and that way we’ll avoid copyright issues.
thanks for the suggestions. I’ll try them out. I also tried to edit the post to remove the attachment like you said but the system won’t let me saying that I don’t have sufficient admin privileges to do so. Strange, I should be able to since it’s my post and all. oh well. I tried.
